Here in Europe, summer is coming to an end. People who have sown are grateful for the harvest. We are also thankful for the wonderful summer and for the seeds we were able to sow week after week with the Earth Prayers projects, and will continue to sow, as well as for the fruits that have already emerged from them.
In Brazil, some windows and doors at the Community Center in Rio de Janeiro were replaced with our support.
In Venezuela, tables, boxes, and chairs were made in the Casita Redonda and are now being used by the children.
In Kenya, Lochuch is tirelessly working, supporting the children and elders of his village and neighboring villages.
The Lmartin Peoples Association in Samburu, Kenya, has already had school uniforms made, which will enable the poorest in the community to attend school in the first place. Soon, we will send you more photos and videos! Zainav, co-founder of the Lmartin Peoples Association, sent us these words today: "I feel am blessed... Today a beautiful family far away made a positive impact on the kids and I can see the happiness that covers the entire community." Here are already some pictures of the 40 children who received gifts. ❤️
From Venezuela, we have once again received a touching birth video from the House of Births by María Navas, in whose establishment we were significantly involved. We have also received a thank-you video from the midwives' gathering in the jungles of Peru. Here are both videos! ❤️ Birthdayvideo Venezuela: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXb0WRWVPEs Video Midwives' gathering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8PpndQ_zsc&t=11s
Over 170 people are currently regularly participating in the Earth Prayers movement through donations, helping us send more than 400 euros per week into the world—along with our blessings and best wishes. Our gratitude goes to all of you who place your trust in us and work with us! We are also grateful to all the people and projects that turn their visions and dreams into reality. And we thank our own consciousness, which supports us in bringing our own dreams and visions to life. Day by day, step by step, seed by seed.
We would now like to introduce you to this month's weekly projects! ❤️
🌞 2.9.-8.9. **The Empowered Woman** - Aloe Vera Moped for Women ~ Ethiopia ❤️ 133
Getinet Seyoum Tesfaye has launched a project to support women in earning money by utilizing local resources, thereby improving their quality of life. Austrian adventurer and writer Andrea Ensmann was on-site and personally met Getinet and the women. She recommended this wonderful project to us, and we are excited to support this initiative within the Earth Prayers family.
Getinet explains: "We developed this initiative in partnership with the Hamar community in the southern part of Ethiopia in the Omo Valley. Through these initiatives, we have the opportunity to improve basic facilities for education, health, and hygiene in our partner communities."
The women of the Hamar pastoralist community are to be supported in transporting their locally produced soap to the nearest town. For this, they wish to have a motorcycle.
The community of women expects the following benefits from the purchase of this motorcycle:
1. It will transport the soap to the town and village markets for sale (easy to transport). It can carry many soaps at once, instead of having 20 women carry them.
2. They can use it for marketing purposes, by traveling to hotels, nearby villages, and towns to sell the soap. It will help with easy delivery of orders.
3. They can rent it out to locals when it's not needed for the soap project, providing additional income for the women.
4. They can use it as an ambulance in their villages, as there is no access road for a regular ambulance.
5. It has many advantages. This will be amazing support for the entire community.
We are excited to support this effort. The goal is to raise 1,600 euros for the purchase of the motorcycle.
Here, Getinet tells us more about the project he initiated. https://youtu.be/ru2XOsoc8lg
🌞 9.9.-15.9. **Development for Children** - Gaia Africa, Water Tank for School ~ Uganda ❤️
Herbert Bloder has lived in Uganda for a long time and has specialized in drinking water and holistic clean water, even here in Austria. Through his Gaia Africa project, several schools in Uganda have already been equipped with a water filtration system he developed himself. Thirteen schools and nearly 7,000 children benefit from this technology and the clean water it provides. Cases of diarrheal diseases have significantly decreased, and many more schools are requesting Gaia Africa's water filtration system. A unique feature of the system is that it can be operated purely mechanically without electricity. With an electric pump, the capacity is about 1,600 liters per hour, while mechanically, it still produces around 700-900 liters per hour. The result is germ-free, bacterially clean, and highly energized water that no longer needs to be boiled, saving operators enormous costs and time.
We want to support the purchase of water tanks for schools equipped with Gaia Africa's filtration system. One tank costs around 500 dollars. We are very excited to support this wonderful and valuable project. Gaia Africa is always looking for major sponsors who would like to commission a water filtration system from Gaia Africa so that many more children and schools can benefit from it. This is Herbert Bloder's email address: bloder@gaia-africa.com. Feel free to reach out to Herbert Bloder! He is an expert on water, and with the help of sponsors, there is still much more Gaia Africa can achieve!
Here are some photos of Herbert Bloder and his team in action in Uganda!
🌞 16.9.-22.9. **Holistic Health** - Book on Indigenous Medicinal Plant Knowledge of the Kamëntŝá-Inga People ~ Colombia ❤️
Our support for this valuable project in Colombia is now entering its second phase. We have already sent 471 euros to Colombia, enabling the project to begin.
"True evolution means returning to the origin of the Earth."
In this spirit, the traditional medicinal plant knowledge of the indigenous Kamëntŝá-Inga people will be researched, focusing on women's self-care. The results will be transformed into an illustrated book to preserve and make this ancient, valuable knowledge available.
We find this wonderful and wish to continue our support! ❤️
🌞 23.9.-29.9. **Heartfelt Wishes** - Clara Rangel - Art ~ Colombia ❤️
Clara Rángel lives in Bogotá, Colombia, and her great passion is painting portraits and still lifes. She is now 64 years old and has worked in various fields over the years, including education, accounting, secretarial work, NGOs, government, and the private sector. Before that, she also earned her living as an artist for 10 years.
She has now reached a point where she wants to fully dedicate herself again to her talent and passion, aiming to earn a living through art. To support herself, she needs to work, and her preference is to do so as a painter.
She seeks our support to afford some painting courses, art supplies, and a small allowance for a few months, enabling her to return to her passionate work as a painter with renewed strength.
Clara loves the diversity in her homeland of Colombia. She adores the many colors, the people, the fruits, and the stories she can read from the faces of people and capture in her portraits.
She would greatly appreciate 932 euros, which would allow her to afford 6 private painting lessons to work on specific aspects she wants to master to reach a higher level. This amount would also cover art supplies, transportation costs, and four small monthly salaries, so she can thoroughly prepare for her return to the world of painting over the next four months. We would like to support her in fulfilling this heartfelt wish!
🌞 30.9.-6.10. **Free Seeds** - Zuly & Jorma ~ Venezuela ❤️
Zuly and Jorma love nature, healthy food, agroecology, hiking, and cycling in the mountains. They live in the Andrés Bello district of Mérida, in the Andes of Venezuela, right next to a national park. They see it as their responsibility to handle nature's resources responsibly. They are deeply committed to protecting flora and fauna and preserving regional seeds. Unlike many others in the area, they do not use pesticides, do not cut down forests, and do not burn the land.
On the contrary, they propagate native seeds, primarily consume local vegetables, and run a small bakery where they bake bread from their own agricultural products. They also plan to start baking with alternative grains.
They now aim to repair a 70-square-meter roof where they process their products and store their seeds. Additionally, they would like to purchase some tools to help with processing and storage. They are also seeking support for planting 1,000 square meters of yuca, sweet potatoes, and ocumo. The total amount needed is 1,312 euros. We want to support this couple in continuing to lovingly and passionately manage their land.
Here is a video that shows them and their home! https://youtu.be/NtaPAgq0Kxg
To conclude, here are the figures for the month of August.
With all our love and wishing you a wonderful September, Philipp and the Earth Prayers Team! ❤️
